Kassandra Chas-Lead Monitor
Currently, I am a junior at West Chester University pursuing my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a focus on family counseling. Before coming to West Chester, I studied for three years at Temple University.
While in Philadelphia, I served as the Coordinator for the Inter-Faith Social Change Movement (IFSCM), a program designated to help the disadvantaged youth to find their voice. As part of the IFSCM I worked with schools in the district to create programs benefitting students. The time I spend with this organization taught me so much about the family dynamic. Between working with principals, parents and children, I have a better understanding of the impact family struggles have on children’s growth.
Since the Spring of 2016 I have worked with Counseling Services of Southeastern Pennsylvania (CSSEPA). I am the Lead Monitor for this program and another court mandated supervised custody program, the West Chester Child Access Center (WCCAC). I have been trained by the Child Access Center.
I am honored to have a role in strengthening the core of a family. Nothing makes me happier than seeing the love in parents and children as they work to maintain and strengthen their relationships.
