Masters Level Monitor
As a Therapeutic Supervised Custody Monitor for Child and Adolescent Counseling Services of Southeastern Pennsylvania, LLC it is my pleasure to work with children and families in crisis. My life as a mom of “My Three Sons” began my informal education in family counselling more than 30 years ago! When my family was raised, I began a new season of life furthering my education with an MA in Marriage and Family Counseling (with a concentration in child development) from Liberty University. My propensity for art culminated in a BFA in Communication Design, my first degree, from Kutztown University. While art is something I enjoy in every medium, I find it extremely useful, often encouraging clients to work through various challenges using art as a therapeutic tool.
Further past experience as a teacher and childcare supervisor has grown skills of patience and understanding of family dynamics, as well as empathy for parents struggling through life’s demands. I consider it a privilege to serve the public’ working with families to improve the quality of life.
I enjoy working with children and families with a range of diagnoses, as both a Behavioral Specialist Consultant (BSC) and Mobile Therapist providing service to clients on the autism spectrum and intellectually/developmentally delayed, as well as in supervised custody monitoring. Implementing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy strategies, I strive to meet the specific needs of each individual family unit and help rebuild a safe and secure environment for all members.
In my free time I enjoy reading, watching movies, craft and art projects, gardening, and spending time with my pups, Bentley and Jasper.
